Do you live in Europe, Canada or elsewhere and have a legal matter in Agadir, Inezgane or the wider Souss-Massa region? Communication takes place remotely by phone, WhatsApp and e-mail, and a power of attorney allows many steps to be completed without travelling. The office tells you clearly which steps require your personal attendance.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to travel to Morocco for my case?
Not always. Many steps can be carried out by the lawyer or by a representative holding a power of attorney. Some stages do require your personal attendance, however, such as reconciliation hearings in divorce proceedings. The office tells you from the outset what can be done remotely.
How do I give a power of attorney from abroad?
A power of attorney can usually be signed at the Moroccan consulate in your country of residence, or before a local authority with an apostille, as Morocco is a party to the Hague Apostille Convention. The required form depends on its purpose (property sale, inheritance, court case), so the office tells you the wording and details needed before you sign it.
Is a foreign divorce judgment valid in Morocco?
To take effect in Morocco, particularly in civil-status records, a foreign judgment must in principle be granted exequatur by the competent Moroccan court, which checks in particular that it is regular and does not conflict with public policy. The office prepares the application and the required documents, including an Arabic translation.
